Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Report Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role will focus on delivering high-quality dashboards, reports, and analytical applications using
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and
Looker, powered by modern data platforms.
You will work closely with business Business Partners, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into intuitive, scalable, and performant reporting solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong data modeling and visualization expertise with a thorough knowledge of enterprise data structures and business processes.
Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as
Google BigQuery (GBQ) is a strong plus, enabling efficient querying and modeling of large-scale datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Report & Dashboard Development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Looker
- Translate business and functional requirements into effective visualizations, critical metrics, and analytical views.
- Build reusable reporting components and templates to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Implement drill-downs, filters, and dynamic views to support self-service analytics.
Data Modeling & Semantic Layer
- Develop and maintain semantic models in SAC and Looker (e.g., LookML), ensuring alignment with business definitions.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data structures, transformations, and access patterns.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper metric definitions across reporting layers.
- Optimize queries and data models for performance and scalability.
Data Integration & Querying
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from enterprise systems and cloud data platforms.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for reporting use cases.
- Leverage BigQuery (GBQ) or similar cloud data warehouses (preferred) for large-scale data analysis.
Quality, Governance & Support
- Validate and reconcile report outputs to ensure accuracy, especially for business-critical and financial reporting.
- Support testing, debugging, and issue resolution across reporting and data layers.
- Adhere to governance standards, including naming conventions, documentation, and access controls.
- Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and data definitions.
Collaboration & Business Partner Engagement
- Partner with business users (e.g., Finance, Operations, Product) to gather requirements and deliver insights.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical Business Partners.
- Deliver training and support to end users to increase adoption of reporting tools.
- Collaborate with cross - functional teams to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics roles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for dashboarding and reporting
- Looker, including LookML modeling and dashboard development
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational data models.
- Experience building interactive dashboards and data visualizations for business users.
- Good understanding of data modeling concepts and semantic layers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience with Google BigQuery (GBQ) or other cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
- Familiarity with enterprise data ecosystems, including ERP or financial reporting systems.
- Experience with data governance, data quality validation, and metric standardization.
- Exposure to both live and in-memory reporting models.
- Understanding of financial or operational reporting use cases.
Soft Skills
- Good communication and Business Partner management skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross - functional environments.
- Self-starter with a focus on quality, usability, and continuous improvement.
