Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Service Portal development. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, custom widget development, UI design, and portal configuration, with the ability to translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals, including pages, widgets, themes, and UI enhancements.
- Build custom Service Portal widgets using AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Configure and enhance ServiceNow modules including Catalog, Request Management, Incident, Knowledge, etc., integrating them seamlessly into the Service Portal.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Pages, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Business Rules.
- Integrate the Service Portal with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Optimize portal performance, usability, and accessibility.
- Troubleshoot issues related to ServiceNow components, workflows, and integrations.
- Ensure development follows best practices, coding standards, and ServiceNow guidelines.
- Support upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
- Create and maintain technical documents, design specifications, and implementation plans.
Required Skills & Experience
- 711 years of experience in ServiceNow development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Service Portal development is mandatory.
- Proficiency in:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap
- ServiceNow Scripting (Client Scripts, Script Includes, Business Rules)
- Custom widget development
- Strong understanding of Service Catalog, Request Fulfillment, Knowledge Management, and Workflow/Flow Designer.
- Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
- Good understanding of ServiceNow architecture, tables, schemas, and data flows.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Experience with ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or other modules is an advantage.
- Experience in UX/UI design for Service Portal.
