About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer – Cloud

Infrastructure to design, build and maintain highly scalable, reliable and secure cloud

infrastructure and platform services. The role involves working closely with engineering,

SRE and DevOps teams to build automation and infrastructure capabilities that enable

Tekion's applications to operate reliably at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services.

• Build automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring and management of

cloud resources.

• Work extensively with AWS cloud services and cloud-native technologies.

• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform.

• Design and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.

• Develop automation and internal tooling using Python, Java or similar

programming languages.

• Improve system reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and production issues.

• Work with distributed systems, microservices, and service-to-service

communication.

• Implement observability solutions covering monitoring, logging, alerting, and

performance metrics.

• Collaborate with Software Engineering, SRE, Security and DevOps teams to improve

engineering productivity.

• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decisionmaking.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE or

DevOps.

• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, Java or a similar language.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.

• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS

and load balancing.

• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures and

algorithms.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging systems.

• Experience with service mesh technologies.

• Experience with AWS networking, IAM and security services.

• Experience operating highly available production systems at scale.

• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch or similar observability

platforms.

• Contributions to internal platforms or open-source projects.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or

equivalent practical experience.
