Meet the Team

Information Technology is core to the health and growth of Millennium's business; the firm's active, multi-manager model demands flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems, including the development of next-generation analytical and trading capabilities. Within this organization, the Systematic Platform Execution & Exchange Data (SPEED) team sits at the core of Millennium's Equities, Quant Strategies, and Shared Services Technology group, powering the firm's low-latency solutions for systematic and high-frequency trading. The team delivers the live trading and market-data platforms used by portfolio managers and risk systems, including Latency Critical Trading (LCT), DMA OMS (Client Direct), DMA market data feeds, packet capture (PCAPs), enterprise market data, and intraday data services spanning latency tiers from sub-100 nanoseconds to millisecond-sensitive workflows. By building and operating this execution and data infrastructure, SPEED enables portfolio managers and researchers to compete effectively in the most time-critical markets.

What You'll Do

• Design and build low-latency infrastructure and system components for order entry and other execution-related features.
• Build convenience layer tools and services that support trading teams onboarding at MLP.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun (L2) support rotation for latency-critical systems, including real-time troubleshooting of production issues.
• Partner closely with the SPEED architect, quantitative researchers, and the business to deliver high-ROI solutions aligned with both platform and business strategy.
• Liaise with other MLP teams as needed, depending on project focus.
  
  

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade, low-latency systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in C++ for production, low-latency environments.
• Strong grounding in computer science and software development fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Professional experience with Java, particularly in low-latency or No-GC environments, is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of Linux internals and CPU architecture (caches, NUMA, branch prediction), along with performance profiling experience, is a plus.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• High accountability and ownership, with strong self-management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines.
