Software Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a passionate Full‑Stack .NET Engineer. As part of the FX Commodities & Settlement IT team within Global Markets IT, you will play a critical role in the end-to-end development, testing, and support of Foreign Exchange Options booking platform for internal banking users. You will design, enhance, and maintain high-performance applications, troubleshoot Level 3 issues, and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery of development milestones.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, support, and enhance applications, ensuring seamless functionality through bug-fixing and continuous improvements.
• Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of the application, ensuring solutions align with business needs.
• Propose innovative solutions and approaches, including impact analysis, to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Prioritize quality in all aspects of development, including scope definition, defect management, performance optimization, and rigorous testing.
• Design and execute high-quality test plans, including unit, functional, integration, and regression testing to maintain system reliability.
• Report progress to the Team Lead, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
• Escalate critical issues to the Team Lead or management for timely resolution.
• Adhere to project and organizational standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and daily development tasks.
• Maintain administrative tasks, such as Jira for task tracking and Wiki for documentation, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Collaborate with production release and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing application reliability.
• Meet deadlines and deliverables, proactively communicating any risks or roadblocks to the Team Lead to keep projects on track

• .NET/.Net Core,
• ASP.Net MVC, Web API
• WCF / Web services
• Angular 7+
• Oracle and Database knowledge
• SOA/microservices

PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (NICE‑TO‑HAVE)

• FIX protocol
• MCA / Bachelor's degree or equivalent
