Software Engineer

About the Role

At Axestrack, we are building next-generation AI-powered systems in the logistics and mobility space. As a Software Engineer, you will work on real-world problems at scale—designing, building, and deploying intelligent systems that directly impact business outcomes.

This is a high-ownership, engineering-first role where you will be expected to go beyond using AI tools and instead build, optimize, and ship production-grade solutions.

We strongly prefer candidates from IITs and BITS Pilani, and other Tier-1 engineering institutes with strong Computer Science fundamentals and a bias for execution.

What You'll Do

• Design and build AI-powered systems and workflows from scratch
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable technical solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and production-ready code (primarily in Python)
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and AI pipelines
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on AI-driven features
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to ship high-impact solutions
• Continuously improve system performance using data-driven insights

What We're Looking For

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or related field from Tier-1 institutes with JEE Mains and Advance rank below 1000.
• 0–1 year of hands-on experience in software development / AI / ML roles
• Strong foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms and problem solving
• Solid understanding of core CS fundamentals (OS, DBMS, Networks basics)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Ability to break down complex problems and think in systems
• High ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced environments

Strong Signals (Highly Preferred)

• Active participation in competitive programming (Codeforces, LeetCode, etc.)
• Experience in hackathons, product builds, or open-source contributions
• Built and deployed AI/ML projects or backend systems (0→1 experience)
• Familiarity with APIs, system design basics, and scalable architectures
• Experience with LLMs, AI frameworks, or data-driven applications
• Exposure to SQL, analytics, or performance optimization
