Job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure software quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize testing requirements and achieve thorough test coverage
- Perform manual, automated and regression testing, track issues, and verify bug fixes, to ensure software stability and reliability
- Design and implement test automation frameworks to streamline testing processes
- Analyze and report test results, track defects, and improve testing methodologies
- Demonstrate ability to contribute to design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Develop and maintain test automation for AWS hosted applications
- Utilize experience in MongoDB for data validation and test automation
- Leverage Playwright for test automation of web applications
Required qualifications (Must Have), capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
- Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution
- Proven track record of implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity
- Good knowledge of programming languages such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy
- Expertise in automation frameworks and libraries:Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured, etc.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks
- Proficiency with API Test Automation
- Good knowledge of version control (Git), build tools (Maven/Gradle)
- Expertise in increasing automation coverage
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting Test Automation Project
- Attention to detail and ability to meticulously document test results and defects in tracking tools, such as Jira
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of database concepts and SQL/NO SQL for data validation and verification
- Experience in MongoDB for test automation and data validation
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), such as Jenkins
- Quality-Oriented Mindset with a strong focus on quality and a commitment to delivering high-quality software
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate test results and collaborate with stakeholders
- Experience with test automation for AWS hosted applications is a plus
Good to have qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Postman, Blazemeter or JMeter
- Understanding of Behavior Driven Development / Data Driven / Hybrid Frameworks
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Exposure to testing of Microservices based systems
