Position Overview

We're looking for a Software Engineer who will build the AI infrastructure and full-stack applications that power institutional investing. You'll work directly with hedge fund investment teams to turn complex workflows into production-grade, AI-powered platforms — shipping LLM-driven research tools, agentic pipelines, and data orchestration layers that compress weeks of analyst work into seconds. Speed, craft, and curiosity are non-negotiable here.

Role & Responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered features into client platforms — research intelligence tools, natural language query layers, automated summarization, and agentic workflows

• Design and implement MCP-connected data sources and agentic pipelines using frameworks like LangGraph, Claude Code, and similar orchestration tools

• Build end-to-end full-stack applications tailored to each client's portfolio analytics, risk management, and research workflows

• Design and maintain high-performance backend APIs using Python (FastAPI) that power client-specific data access, analytics, and AI inference

• Build intuitive, responsive frontends in React that enable investment teams to interact with complex financial data clearly and efficiently

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines handling critical financial market data — positions, securities, risk metrics, and research signals — with reliability and performance

• Deploy and manage applications within Kubernetes environments across client cloud infrastructure, ensuring fast and reliable releases

Must Have Criteria

• 3+ years of software engineering experience spanning both backend and frontend development

• Strong Python development skills with hands-on experience building production APIs using FastAPI

• Frontend development experience with React, including building data-rich, responsive interfaces

• Solid understanding of the agentic loop from first principles — how agent frameworks like Claude Code, Codex, or Cline reason, plan, and execute

• Experience with SQL and analytical libraries (Pandas or Polars) for computational and data-heavy workloads

• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerized development and deployment workflows

• Demonstrated active use of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in day-to-day development workflow

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and MCP server integrations — beyond just using AI as a developer tool

• Experience working with financial data systems — positions, securities, factor exposures, P&L — in a hedge fund, asset manager, or fintech context

• Experience with ETL orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect, and data transformation using DBT

• Familiarity with OLAP databases such as Snowflake, ClickHouse, or DuckDB for analytical workloads

• Experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications in cloud-native environments
