Role: Software Engineer - AI CRM

About The Role
We are looking for a backend-focused software engineer to build the core systems behind an AI CRM product. The role involves designing reliable services that support multi-agent workflows, customer context, integrations, and production-grade automation. You will work on systems that understand user intent, coordinate multi-step actions, retrieve relevant knowledge, and recover gracefully when external tools or APIs fail.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and scale FastAPI services that power AI-driven CRM workflows.
- Design workflow orchestration pipelines using Temporal or similar systems for planning, retries, fallbacks, and long-running processes.
- Develop memory and context layers for knowledge retrieval, user history, and adaptive agent behavior.
- Implement secure authentication, user integrations, permissions, and credential handling.
- Improve reliability across internal reasoning flows, external APIs, and tool-calling systems.
- Own backend deployment, observability, monitoring, and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to convert ambiguous workflow needs into robust technical systems.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with Python and FastAPI.
- Experience designing workflow orchestration, agent systems, or multi-step automation platforms.
- 3-5 years of hands-on AI engineering experience, including context management, prompt design, agent frameworks, or LLM-based workflows.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and vector databases.
- Ability to build systems that reduce hallucinations, handle failures cleanly, and support complex planning.
- Familiarity with multi-agent architectures, dynamic workflow generation, and functional programming ideas is a plus.
- Strong ownership, debugging ability, and comfort shipping production infrastructure.
