ABOUT ARVYA

Arvya is building AI software for investment banks and private equity firms. Deal teams work across email, meetings, CRM, spreadsheets and data rooms, but keeping everything current still takes significant manual work. We build tools that bring that context together and help teams turn it into useful, reviewable actions.

Our work includes deal memory, answers backed by sources, tracker updates, CRM workflows, meeting follow-ups and coordination. Reliability, permissions and human approval matter as much as the quality of an AI response.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer with an interest in applied AI to work directly with the founders. You will help turn real workflows into working product features, from the interface and API through to data handling, model calls and integrations. This role suits someone who enjoys building, debugging and taking ownership of a feature beyond its first demo.

Location: Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, India. Applicants must currently be based in Bengaluru.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

• Build and maintain product features, backend APIs and integrations with business tools.

• Develop LLM-powered workflows that retrieve relevant context, use tools and produce useful outputs.

• Improve retrieval, document processing and structured deal memory.

• Build interfaces that make AI answers, supporting sources and proposed actions easy to understand.

• Add evaluations, tests, logging and error handling so features remain dependable as they evolve.

• Handle authentication, permissions and data boundaries carefully.

• Debug issues across the stack and improve performance, latency and cost.

• Work with the founders to understand user feedback, make practical tradeoffs and ship improvements.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to write clear, maintainable code.

• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript, with a willingness to work across the stack.

• Experience building applications, APIs and database-backed features.

• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, retrieval, agents or other applied AI projects. Personal projects count.

• A practical approach to testing, debugging, version control and code review.

• The ability to explain your decisions, ask good questions and follow through on work.

• Care for user experience, reliability and the details that make software useful in everyday work.

HELPFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED

Experience with React or Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, vector search, cloud deployment, Microsoft 365 integrations, or enterprise software workflows. Familiarity with finance is useful, but you do not need an investment banking background. We care about what you can build and how you approach problems.
