Software Engineer

Summary:

A global technology company in the payments industry is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Business Rules Engineering & Strategy team. The team focuses on building robust IBM ODM Rule solutions that provide transaction-level decisioning, alerting, and notifications. This position involves working on mission-critical, high-volume transaction processing systems and developing rule strategies to enhance the payment ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for fraud prediction applications.
• Build effective rule strategies according to design and architecture guidelines.
• Develop and implement rule changes in an agile environment.
• Validate rule changes against transaction data to ensure quality.
• Support production deployments and coordinate releases with various teams.
• Monitor systems during and after deployments to ensure stability.

Required Skills:

• IBM ODM Tools (business console, ODM developer).
• Database knowledge (Oracle, SQL).
• Experience with Python, AI Tools, or other Rule Development Tools.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor&rsquos degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager software.
• Experience in delivering technical solutions aligned with business and product strategies.
• Background in object-oriented architecture, design, and development, with a preference for Java experience.
• Experience with software engineering concepts and methodologies, including agile lifecycles, testing automation, and behavior-driven development.
