Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Developer (L09) at PepsiCo, you will design, develop, and support scalable enterprise-grade digital applications across web, backend, and native mobile platforms. This role is responsible for building secure, high-performance full-stack solutions using Java-based microservices, Cosmos DB, and native mobile application technologies (iOS/Android).

You will work closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative digital products supporting PepsiCo's global operations.


Responsibilities

Backend Development

  • Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java / Spring Boot.
  • Build event-driven and cloud-native applications integrated with Azure services.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization frameworks.

Database Development

  • Design and optimize NoSQL data models in Cosmos DB.
  • Ensure high availability, partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Manage data synchronization across distributed systems.

Front-End / Full Stack Development

  • Develop responsive web interfaces integrated with backend APIs.
  • Collaborate on UI architecture for scalable front-end systems.

Native Mobile Application Development

  • Build and maintain native mobile apps using:
    • iOS
    • Java Android
  • Integrate mobile apps with enterprise APIs and cloud backend services.
  • Optimize app performance, offline sync, and push notifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 9+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Java / Spring Boot
    • REST APIs / Microservices
    • Cosmos DB / NoSQL databases
    • Native iOS or Android development (React and React native)
  • Experience with Co-pilot and other tools Azure cloud platform.
  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes preferred.
