The Engineering Manager, HCM Integrations will lead a full-stack engineering team responsible for the architecture, performance, scalability, and delivery of packaged HCM integrations across enterprise platforms. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an experienced enterprise software leader with a strong technical foundation and a proven track record of delivering product or platform engineering initiatives.

This role requires strong technical depth, excellent project management capabilities, the ability to operate in ambiguity, and the agility to lead teams in a fast-paced product environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of full-stack engineers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Drive execution and delivery of packaged HCM integrations across enterprise platforms (i.e. Workday, SAP, Oracle), ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability
  • Partner with architecture and senior technical leaders to implement integration design standards, APIs, connectors, and observability frameworks
  • Own sprint planning, capacity management, and delivery commitments in collaboration with product management
  • Remove delivery roadblocks and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure engineering best practices, security compliance, and performance optimization
  • Promote DevOps and CI/CD best practices to enable efficient and reliable deployments
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high product quality
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering talent build succession and growth plans for team members
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and inclusion
  • Provide regular updates on delivery progress, technical risks, and milestones
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, documentation, and operational excellence

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading engineering teams in a product or platform environment
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical depth with people leadership and delivery ownership
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong technical background in integration frameworks, APIs (REST/SOAP), JSON-based services, and enterprise application development
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles, cloud-native development, and distributed systems
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong delivery management discipline
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and modern DevOps practices
  • Strong stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering integrations on at least one major HCM platform (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM)
  • Experience using AI-powered developer productivity tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
