Fenmo reimagines the modern finance function as a lean, intelligent operation powered by autonomous AI co-workers. We enable finance teams to delegate, not just automate, by replacing fragmented tools and manual workflows with AI agents that work 24*7 across systems, subsidiaries, and time zones. Fenmo's AI co-workers collaborate with accounting teams to resolve AR, AP, and close reconciliations like a human would, without changing ERPs or adding dashboards.

Built by second-time founders from IITs with 15+ years of combined experience in finance and technology, Fenmo is designed to eliminate real-world finance ops pain points and help teams focus on decisions and strategy.

We are looking for a high-agency founding engineer who would own end-to-end responsibility across system design, backend, infrastructure, and production operations. You will work closely with founders and have direct influence on product and technical direction.

This is not a regular 9-to-5 job. You will be working on solving foundational problems in scaling enterprise-grade agentic systems that are reliable, transparent, auditable, and secure. We are not looking for a single-skill fitment, rather a builder who would go on to launch his/her company in the near future. This is a role that could change the trajectory of a career.

• Own core systems end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and operations.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs for an enterprise product.
• Make architecture and technology decisions with the CTO.
• Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and reliability practices.

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience building production-deployed software.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, system design, and backend engineering.
• Experience with at least two of these: Python, Go, and Typescript.
• Working knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipeline, and version control.
• Exposure to data engineering, DevOps, distributed systems, or infra automation.

• Ability to independently break down problems and ship solutions.
• High agency, ownership mindset, and bias for execution.
• Knows how to unlock max efficiency working with coding assistants.
• Move fast with minimal supervision in an ambiguous, early-stage environment.
• Take accountability for code quality, performance, and uptime.
