Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Title: Senior QA Engineer with Automation Skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Postman and other automation tools.
• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
• Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation.
• Take ownership of projects and demonstrate proactiveness in identifying and addressing issues.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in QA and test automation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools, specifically Postman.
• Experience with other automation tools.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and tasks and proactively address issues.
• Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in the transportation industry.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
