Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Tonbo Imaging India Ltd. is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Software Engineering team.

Location: Bengaluru

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Department: Software Engineering

Travel: Occasional travel to client locations

About the Role:

We are seeking an SDET with a strong background in software quality assurance and testing, with hands-on experience in C/C++. The ideal candidate will have experience in automated testing, unit and integration testing, system testing and safety-critical software environments.

Experience in the Avionics or Automotive industry will be highly preferred, with familiarity with DO-178C being a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain unit and integration test cases using C/C++.
• Develop and manage automated testing suites and frameworks.
• Perform comprehensive system and software testing.
• Identify, debug, track and resolve software defects.
• Apply software quality practices for safety-critical systems.
• Follow applicable DO-178C standards and processes.
• Work closely with software developers and engineering teams to define testing strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and align testing approaches.
• Travel to client locations when required.
• Document test cases, test results, defects and validation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software testing and quality processes.
