Software Development Engineer in Test - III

GreyOrange is seeking an SDET III (AI/ML and Agentic Systems) to build and scale intelligent quality engineering systems for our next-generation warehouse automation products. This role goes beyond traditional test automation, focusing on validating AI/ML-driven workflows, Agentic AI systems, autonomous decision-making pipelines, and developing internal utilities that streamline manual efforts and improve engineering efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Framework Development and Automation: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and intelligent testing utilities.
• AI/ML Validation: Validate complex AI/ML workflows, Agentic AI systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Process Efficiency: Build automation utilities and tools to eliminate manual QA efforts and drive operational productivity.
• Backend and System Testing: Perform comprehensive API, backend, database, and system-level validation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Software Engineering, and AI/ML teams during early design and development phases.
• Debugging and Support: Troubleshoot complex system issues and act as the first line of technical debugging for development teams.
• Quality Innovation: Participate in Agile cycles, driving continuous improvements in automation, validation, and intelligent testing practices.
  
  

Requirements

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in SDET or QA Automation roles within fast-paced product engineering environments.
• Strong programming and scripting proficiency in Python and Java.
  
  

AI/ML And Domain Expertise

• Hands-on experience working with AI/ML-based systems or intelligent automation platforms.
• Exposure to Agentic AI workflows, LLM-based architectures, or autonomous agents.
• Demonstrated track record of creating custom tools and utilities to automate complex manual workflows.
  
  

Technical And Automation Toolkit

• Strong foundational knowledge of API testing, backend validation, and framework architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with tools such as PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman, or similar technologies.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, and database validation (SQL).
  
  

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving mindset with attention to system details.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• MLOps and Data: Exposure to MLOps pipelines, AI validation frameworks, or large-scale data testing.
• Cloud and Distributed Systems: Experience testing cloud platforms and distributed architectures.
• Domain Experience: Prior domain knowledge in warehouse automation, robotics, or supply chain execution systems.
