About the Role

As a Tech Lead (SDE-III), you aren't just writing code; you are setting the technical direction for your team and owning outcomes end to end. You will drive architecture and design for critical systems, lead execution across squads, and be the engineer the team turns to for hard technical calls.

You will raise the engineering bar by mentoring SDE-I and SDE-II engineers, leading design and code reviews, and partnering with the EM and PM to shape the team's technical roadmap. You will be a force multiplier for the team in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Education: B.Tech or Dual Degree (Computer Science/IT preferred)

Experience: 6–8 Years of relevant experience

As a Tech Lead, you will:

• Partner with PMs, EMs and vertical leaders to own the technical roadmap and build abstractions for the platform/system
• Own architecture and design for core systems that underpin business and engineering capabilities
• Be the technical point of accountability for deployments, production incidents and performance issues for your team's services
• Partner with DevOps and Platform teams to shape infrastructure, scalability patterns and operational best practices
• Set and continuously raise the bar on engineering practices across design, development, testing and code review
• Grow the team by mentoring SDE-I / SDE-II engineers, driving interview loops, and representing Rupeek's tech culture externally

DesiredSkill :

• Deep experience designing and operating high-performing, scalable and reliable distributed services
• Strong grasp of service decomposition, API design and modularising monoliths into well-bounded services
• Proven track record with concurrency, storage and caching at production scale
• Multiplies the team's productivity by articulating standards, removing blockers and levelling up peers
• Hands-on with performance testing, profiling and debugging memory or latency issues in production
• Technical leadership skills to align engineers across squads and vendor teams toward a shared outcome

Profile :

• 6–8 yrs of experience, with 4+ years building and operating high-performance distributed systems in production
• First principle problem solver
• Knowledge of best practices in areas like accessibility and security
• Should have in-depth knowledge of coding standards and security guidelines for all the technologies
• Strong understanding of information security domains and possesses a well-rounded technical background
• Good to have: Prior experience in the BFSI sector
