Join Amazon FinTech's Delta team to create world-class finance systems supporting Amazon's global operations. In this role, you'll architect and develop highly scalable, fault-tolerant services that handle trillions of financial events and payment flows. You'll leverage AI/ML technologies to expand compliance monitoring across AWS services, implement advanced techniques including Anomaly Detection, and enhance Software Development Lifecycle Monitoring with Deployment Validation.

Key job responsibilities
- Architect and develop highly scalable, fault-tolerant services that underpin large-scale financial processing solutions with significant business impact
- Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale financial systems, establishing high standards for quality, maintainability, and performance
- Drive technical architecture decisions ensuring systems are highly-available, dynamically scalable, and resilient, establishing mechanisms to measure and improve performance
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement innovative software applications while leveraging AI/ML technologies to improve compliance accuracy
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth

A day in the life
As an autonomous contributor on the FinTech-Delta team, you'll lead the development, maintenance, and evolution of software features that strengthen governance and controllership over AWS security assurance and financial processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced monitoring techniques, work with emerging technologies, and integrate AI/ML capabilities. Your day involves writing high-quality code, conducting design reviews, and making technical decisions that help expand compliance monitoring across the AWS service portfolio.

About the team
The Delta team is expanding compliance monitoring across all services supported by AWS. We're implementing advanced techniques including Anomaly Detection, seamlessly integrating with emerging technologies, and incorporating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities. This enables us to rapidly expand compliance monitoring scope across the entire AWS service portfolio and enhance Software Development Lifecycle Monitoring with Deployment Validation.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques
