Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions across the full development lifecycle, including scoping, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations, ensuring high-quality and maintainable outcomes.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to understand business and customer needs, translating requirements into well-structured technical designs that balance scalability, performance, and security.
- Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues, driving permanent fixes and continuously improving your team's operational health and software reliability.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, raising the overall quality bar and helping new team members ramp up effectively.
- Evaluate modern tools and approaches-including generative AI capabilities-to improve development productivity, code quality, and the overall customer experience.
A day in the life
Your morning might start with a design discussion, whiteboarding a new feature with your team and thinking through tradeoffs around scalability and maintainability. After lunch, you could be deep in code-writing, reviewing, or pairing with a teammate on a tricky problem. Later, you might investigate an operational metric that looks off, trace it to its root cause, and implement a fix. Throughout it all, you will be learning, asking questions, and sharing what you know with the engineers around you.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
