About the Role

Mygate is looking for a Software Development Engineer I – Full Stack (AI) to build scalable, high-performance applications and contribute to the development of AI-powered products. We are seeking a technically strong Full Stack Engineer with hands-on expertise in Python and React — someone who builds AI-driven features and is eager to use modern AI development tools to ship high-quality code faster. You'll work

across a variety of products and teams, ramping up quickly on new domains and delivering end-to-end features with minimal hand-holding.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.

- Build responsive frontend applications using React and robust backend services using Python.

- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development — scaffolding, refactoring, debugging, and writing tests — while critically reviewing and owning AI-generated output.

- Contribute to the development and integration of AI-powered features and workflows (LLMs, GenAI, agents, and AI APIs).

- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver end-to-end features, adapting quickly as priorities and projects shift.

- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.

- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience in Full Stack Development.

- Strong hands-on experience in Python (Mandatory).

- Strong hands-on experience in React.js (Mandatory).

- Experience building scalable web applications, REST APIs, and microservices.

- Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, databases, and software design principles.

- Openness to adopting AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to work faster, and good judgment to review and own the code they produce.

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

- Ability to learn fast and deliver in unfamiliar codebases and domains with minimal hand-holding.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Node.js for backend services.

- Experience building features powered by AI/ML, LLMs, or Generative AI (RAG, agents, tool use, or AI API integration).

- Experience working in product-based or fast-paced technology companies.

- Comfort working across multiple products, teams, and tech stacks.

- Willingness to work on AI-focused initiatives and upskill through company-provided training.

- Strong technical fundamentals and hands-on coding skills are essential.
