Software Development Engineer

As a Cloud Automation Engineer, you will build scalable automation and tooling to drive cloud cost efficiency across AWS and Azure environments. This role is centered on automation, data-driven analysis, and collaboration, enabling teams to make informed, efficient decisions about cloud usage and spend.

You will partner with engineering, product, and platform teams to improve resource utilization, enhance cost visibility, and implement impactful FinOps solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable automation solutions, software systems, and data pipelines to support FinOps use cases and optimize cloud cost efficiency.
• Implement and scale cloud optimization and modernization initiatives across AWS and Azure, leveraging data analysis and AI-driven insights to improve cost efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify optimization opportunities and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to enable knowledge sharing and adoption.
• Contribute to proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and continuous improvement of automation and cost optimization capabilities.
  

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud automation, or tooling development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern software development practices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, with a focus on cost optimization and performance efficiency.
• Experience with data analysis, data processing, or analytics-driven solutions.
• Exposure to AI/ML techniques for automation or insight generation is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.
