Job Title

Software Development Engineer 4 - .Net

Nature Of Work

  • Contribute as a key member in the development and design of data file exchange applications using .NET Core and related technologies.
  • Work with globally distributed teams to design new features and improve platform performance and scalability.
  • Participate in secure file transfer design, protocol implementation, and cloud-based architecture for data exchange.
  • Model, design, and implement services (REST APIs) and batch/daemon processes for file ingestion and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies for file exchange workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and processes for secure data transfer and compliance.
  • Review and enforce practices to maintain platform stability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate across teams to share best practices and ensure smooth integration of data and application layers.
  • Self-manage complex modules and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.

About The Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • 8–10 years of experience in software development with strong exposure to .NET Core, C#, and file exchange protocols.

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience building file exchange systems (e.g., SFTP, FTPS, AS2, APIs) and handling large-scale data transfers.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, Web API, and SQL Server for backend development.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems:Decoupled applications in scalable networks.Resiliency, caching, queuing, and serialization.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration services (AKS/EKS).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools like Jenkins, Airflow.
  • API development expertise: REST, throttling, security, monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for hosting and securing file exchange services.
  • Exposure to data structures, algorithms, and distributed data storage (SQL + NoSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and code quality tools.
  • Understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability).
  • Experience in encryption standards, digital signatures, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, PCI DSS).
