Summary Of The Role
As a Software Development Engineer 4, you will design, build, and operate scalable Java microservices for cloudnative environments. You will collaborate with architects and crossfunctional teams to deliver highavailability services, contribute to endtoend solution design and testing, and support junior team members while driving quality and reliability.
In This Role You'll / Your Main Responsibilities
- Analyze business and user requirements, size specification/validation needs, and shape functional and technical designs (including feasibility studies).
- Develop Javabased microservices using Spring Boot and REST services; model and implement databases; follow modern DevOps practices.
- Execute unit, package, and performance tests; support validation phases; investigate and debug issues with Product and Engineering teams.
- Prepare clear documentation (feasibility studies, solution overviews, interface specifications, product docs) and contribute to Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate across Product Management, Project Management, Customer Services, Implementation, Migration, and Development to ensure smooth delivery.
About The Ideal Candidate
- With 912 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying modern Java applications.
- Handson with Java 8+, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns; experience migrating monoliths to microservices and working with NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase, MongoDB) is a plus.
- Works independently, partners effectively with architects, and supports junior engineers; proposes improvements using data and best practices.
- Familiar with DevOps concepts and tooling; experience in the travel domain is an advantage.
