Software Development Engineer 2

THE ROLE:

The Design Software Verification team plays a critical role in verifying part of the AMD EDA tool chain for both pre and post-silicon support. We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for S oftware engineering development , and is diligent and passionate about Technology .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects
• Responsible for verification and Validation of new SW features around AIE Engine of Versal devices, before releasing them to customers
• Ability to understand complex systems consisting of DSP/ML intensive algorithms
• Actively explores innovative methods for verification and validation of these platform designs using automated infrastructure and reduced/smaller designs
• Uses the product as a customer would to understand strengths and areas for improvement. Performs advanced interactive testing and can assist with defining quality metrics
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams and Project Managers to drive high quality software releases

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor s with 3+ years or Master s with 1+ years of relavent experience
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience in C, C++ and Python with deep understanding of object-oriented-design principles
• Good understanding in one of the domains: Machine Learning, Data Center and Wireless applications
• Fluent in Python/Shell script or equivalent languages
• Good analysis and debug skills in either software or hardware

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
