Job Title: Software Development Engineer1 (Frontend) - Full Time

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our frontend engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining user interfaces for our web applications, contributing to the architecture and design of our frontend systems, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices.

Key Deliverables

Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable frontend code using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.

Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions, targeting a minimum coverage threshold.

Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards.

Optimize frontend performance to ensure a fast and responsive user experience.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of our frontend component library.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

2+ years of professional experience in frontend development.

Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.

Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.

Proficiency in Git for version control and collaborative development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other frontend frameworks or libraries (e.g., Angular, Vue.js).

Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) guidelines and best practices.

Experience with agile development methodologies.

Skills

Must-Have Skills

Technical: React.js (expert), JavaScript/TypeScript (proficient), HTML5/CSS3 (proficient), RESTful APIs (experience building and consuming), Git (expert), Jest (experience writing unit tests), Webpack (experience configuring and optimizing), SASS/SCSS (proficient).

Domain Knowledge: Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, responsive design principles, and web performance optimization techniques.

Behavioral & Interpersonal: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, proactive problem-solving skills.

Process & SOP: Experience with agile development methodologies, code review processes, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Good-to-Have Skills

Advanced Technical: Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand), testing libraries (e.g., Cypress, Playwright), and GraphQL.

Additional Certifications: Relevant certifications in frontend development or related technologies are a plus.

Cross-Functional Exposure: Experience working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.

Leadership Traits: Mentoring junior engineers, leading technical discussions, and contributing to technical roadmaps.

Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques, ability to identify and implement performance improvements.
