- Build and lead a software engineering team supporting Oracle Health cloud services
- Hire, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent
- Manage engineering managers and senior technical leaders
- Drive development of monitoring, automation, observability, and control plane services
- Establish engineering processes, operational standards, and organizational best practices
- Partner closely with OCI platform teams and Oracle Health stakeholders
- Improve reliability, scalability, efficiency, and operational maturity across services
- Contribute to long-term technical strategy and roadmap planning
- Lead organizational planning, staffing, and execution activities
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, including management of managers
- Experience leading teams responsible for large-scale distributed cloud services
- Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations
- Strong systems architecture and cloud infrastructure experience
- Experience with monitoring, observability, automation, infrastructure platforms, or operational tooling
- Proven leadership of complex technical programs and cross-functional initiatives
- Strong communication and executive stakeholder management skills
- Experience with OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred
- Healthcare, security, compliance, or highly regulated industry experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
