About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer with hands-on experience in the CodeIgniter framework to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications while ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP and CodeIgniter.
- Write clean, well-structured, and reusable code following best practices.
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end teams with server-side logic.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and APIs (MySQL/other databases).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, testers) to deliver quality solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and propose improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a PHP Developer.
- Strong expertise in the CodeIgniter framework (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of PHP 7/8, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of MVC architecture and OOP concepts.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good to Have (Optional):
- Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
