About The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator (Software Development) to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between various stakeholders, including the CTO, software developers, QA teams, product managers, and support staff. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that software development projects are well-coordinated, progress is tracked accurately, and engineering processes are adhered to consistently. This position emphasizes project coordination, process compliance, reporting, and ensuring project visibility rather than direct software development. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Delivery Coordinator, PMO Coordinator, or in a similar role within a software or technology environment.
- Proven experience coordinating software development or technology teams.
- Proficiency with ticket management or project management systems; experience with proprietary or in-house tools is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising effectively across teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced skills in reporting and data analysis using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Manage day-to-day activities of the software development team, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule. Follow up with developers on pending tasks and approaching deadlines, escalate issues, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Ticket & Task Management: Oversee internal ticketing systems, ensuring all tickets are properly assigned, prioritized, and tracked. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, monitor overdue tickets, and ensure project boards are organized and up to date.
- Process Compliance: Ensure adherence to established development workflows and internal project management processes. Track action items from meetings, monitor compliance, and recommend improvements to optimize workflows.
- Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly status reports, maintain project dashboards, and monitor key metrics such as progress, open and closed tickets, overdue tasks, and team workload. Provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Communication & Coordination: Facilitate effective communication between Development, QA, Product, Support, and Management teams. Schedule and coordinate meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure alignment and clarity across departments.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including trackers and records. Support continuous process improvements by ensuring documentation remains current and complete.
