About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our talented technology team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Product, Data Science, and Analytics to develop and enhance microservices that cater to the financial needs of millennials across India. Your expertise will help build robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that power our innovative consumer products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background, a passion for developing high-quality applications, and a keen interest in solving complex engineering challenges. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services that are reliable, efficient, and scalable, ensuring a seamless experience for our users. Additionally, you will contribute to technical discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and participate in the full lifecycle of product development, from conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in backend development within product-driven organizations. You should have strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Node.js, or Python, and demonstrate extensive experience in designing and building REST APIs and distributed backend services. A solid understanding of data modeling with both SQL and NoSQL databases is essential.
Experience with backend frameworks like Spring Boot, Express.js, Hapi, LoopBack, or similar is required. You should be familiar with building scalable systems, understanding distributed systems fundamentals, and deploying applications in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with experience in observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack, will be highly advantageous.
We seek candidates with a strong ownership mindset, capable of independently driving projects from problem statement to production. A degree from a reputed institution (B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MS) with excellent academic credentials is preferred. Curiosity and a passion for working on emerging technologies and large-scale engineering challenges are highly valued traits.

- Design, develop, and scale backend systems and microservices that support high-throughput consumer products.
- Architect reliable, scalable, and high-performance services for a multi-tenant environment.
- Lead technical design discussions, evaluating trade-offs between functionality, extensibility, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data Science, and Analytics to deliver customer-centric features.
- Take ownership of services from initial design through deployment, monitoring, and long-term maintenance.
- Build and operate applications securely on cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS.
- Implement robust testing, observability, and operational best practices to ensure engineering excellence.
- Participate in technical interviews and contribute to hiring high-caliber engineering talent.
