Role Description - 

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a Software Developer. The Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions while adhering to best practices in software development. Responsibilities include building and optimizing back-end systems, writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. The candidate will also contribute to the overall product architecture and mentor junior developers.

Key Responsibilities -

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for Kosh's lending and communication platform
• Build and optimize APIs and services to handle high-volume transactions and real-time data processing
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Own end-to-end development cycles—from requirement understanding to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with product, operations, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience
• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate them where relevant
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.

Tech Stack -

• Backend: Python, Django REST Framework
• Infrastructure & Tools: Traefik Load Balancer, Celery (asynchronous processing)
• Messaging & Real-time: MQTT Broker
• Database: PostgreSQL (AWS RDS)

What are we looking for

• Strong experience in backend development using Python and Django
• Solid understanding of building scalable, distributed systems
• Experience with asynchronous processing tools like Celery
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, databases, and system design
• Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
