Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing robust data pipelines using Power BI Dataflows, developing and maintaining dynamic dashboards and reports, and delivering high-quality analytical solutions. A strong analytical mindset and the ability to transform complex datasets into actionable business insights are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Power BI Dataflows.
- Develop, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Service.
- Create optimized data models and write advanced DAX calculations.
- Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query (M language).
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Optimize report performance and manage dataset refresh schedules.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage Power BI workspaces and gateways.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and documentation of BI solutions.
- Provide production support and resolve reporting issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development.
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Dataflows.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data validation.
- Good understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Synapse, etc.).
- Knowledge of Power Automate or Power Apps.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300 preferred).
- Experience in performance tuning and enterprise BI environments.
