Software Developer - CMS

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Define Product Roadmap(30%)

• Help define the product roadmap for the evolution of the CMS and PXM platforms, with input from Zoetis Tech and Digital (ZTD) and business stakeholders.
• Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

2. Design and Communication(25%)

• Facilitate formal design sessions with the team and generate structured documentation to clearly communicate the strategy, roadmap, and design to engineers, architects, and stakeholders.

3. User Interaction Analysis(15%)

• Collaborate with CMS and PXM users to analyze usage patterns and discover user interaction pain points.
• Address these pain points in the product roadmap.

4. Project Leadership(15%)

• Spearhead various projects that help achieve the vision of Create Once, Publish Everywhere.
• Ensure the quality of project deliverables through code reviews and test case reviews.
• Oversee development activities related to projects and production support activities.

5. Site Management(10%)

• Maintain site compatibility, accessibility, and back-end performance.
• Regularly monitor and adjust standards as necessary.

6. Support and Emergency Resolution(5%)

• Provide support during technical emergencies and help resolve issues promptly to minimize business impact.

7. Change Request Management(5%)

• Review, analyze, and solution change requests to determine complexity.
• Provide resource/cost estimates for the change requests.

8. Mentorship and Training(5%)

• Mentor junior developers on application delivery and operational aspects of production and non-production systems.
• Provide ongoing support and training to users to maximize the benefits of the Salsify platform.

9. Data Modeling and Content Syndication(5%)

• Design and implement data models within Salsify to ensure structured and efficient handling of product data across all channels.
• Engage with agency partners and vendor platforms to syndicate product content accurately across retailer platforms, ensuring consistency and relevance.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• ZTD - Collaborate closely with business partners and stakeholders.
• Business Stakeholders - Ensure alignment of CMS & PXM objectives with business goals.
• Vendors - Coordinate with external partners and vendors for content syndication and platform support.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience in web development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with CMS platforms such as Adobe, Crownpeak, Episerver (Optimizely), Contentful, Contentstack, Drupal.
• 2+ years of proven experience managing Salsify or similar Product Experience Management (PXM) or Product Information Management (PIM) systems.
• Ability to work in a globally distributed environment.
• Proven track record in a dynamic, team-based environment.
• Demonstrated ability to understand customer challenges, navigate from problem to resolution, and effectively communicate the process and resolution.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Strategy & Development: Experience implementing Headless CMS capabilities.
• CMS Management: Experience managing multiple CMS platforms.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Spring frameworks, Akamai, API Gateway frameworks.
• Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Hybrid Work Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday working from the office, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
