Software Backend Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer who is passionate about designing and delivering scalable, and maintainable backend systems. You will play a key role in building high-quality software solutions that support government initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services using modern technologies
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices following best practices
• Prepare API/interface specifications and technical architecture documentation to support system implementation and integration
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployment
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, while continuously improving application performance, reliability, and stability

To succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with at least three years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience in backend software development and building enterprise-grade applications
• Strong programming proficiency in at least one backend technology or programming language, such as Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, or Golang
• Proven experience working with AWS cloud technologies, including Lambda and serverless architecture
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.
• Experience with large language models, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI agent workflows is highly advantageous
