About the Role
The Software Architect leads the design and delivery of complex software solutions for Teceze's Software & Applications (SAA) tower. This role defines the technical architecture for bespoke development, product engineering, IoT, AI/ML integration, and OEM platform solutions. The Software Architect owns technical pre-sales, delivery standards, and the software engineering CoE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead software solution architecture for enterprise clients — bespoke dev, APIs, microservices, cloud-native apps
- Own technical pre-sales for software projects — solution design, estimate, proposal, and BoM
- Define software engineering standards, coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, and quality frameworks
- Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across active software delivery projects
- Drive the AI/ML and IoT component of Teceze's SAA tower — use cases, platforms, and patterns
- Lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and quality gates
- Build and maintain the software CoE — reusable components, accelerators, and IP
- Engage with technology platforms relevant to Teceze's product portfolio (Fieldeze, Smart Cities, etc.)
Essential Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience, with at least 6 years in software architecture
- Deep expertise in at least two: Python, Java, Node.js, .NET, React/Angular
- Microservices architecture — REST APIs, event-driven architecture, Kafka, gRPC
- Cloud-native application design — containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), serverless, cloud platforms
- Database design — PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB
- CI/CD pipeline design — GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI
- AI/ML integration — LLM APIs, model serving, MLOps (beneficial)
- Client-facing architecture and pre-sales experience
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- AWS/Azure solution architect certification
- Kubernetes/CKA
- Experience with IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub)
- TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture methodology
How Success Will Be Measured (First 6 Months)
- Technical quality: zero architectural defects causing production incidents in first 3 months
- Pre-sales win rate: 35% on technical bids where architect leads the solution
- CoE contribution: 2+ reusable architectural patterns or accelerators documented per quarter
- Team capability: measurable improvement in team's technical assessment scores at 3-month mark
