Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of our software ecosystem across EV platforms, connected vehicle systems, cloud infrastructure, and intelligent mobility applications.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, product-minded, entrepreneurial, and capable of architecting scalable systems from the ground up. You should have experience building high-performance software products in startup environments and be comfortable navigating ambiguity, speed, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive end-to-end software architecture for EV and connected mobility platforms
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-availability systems across embedded, backend, cloud, and mobile/web ecosystems
- Collaborate closely with product, firmware, vehicle engineering, data, and DevOps teams
- Lead technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices
- Design microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and real-time data pipelines
- Build scalable telematics, OTA update systems, battery analytics, and connected vehicle platforms
- Mentor engineering teams and establish strong software engineering culture
- Ensure system reliability, cybersecurity, scalability, and performance optimization
- Drive technical roadmap aligned with business and product goals
- Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to EVs, IoT, AI, and mobility ecosystems
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with significant experience as a Software Architect or Principal Engineer
- Strong experience in product-based companies and high-growth startup environments
- Proven track record of building scalable products from 0 to 1 and scaling them
- Strong expertise in:
- Distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Backend technologies (Java, Golang, Python, Node.js, or similar)
- API architecture and system integrations
- Real-time systems and event-driven architectures
- DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working with IoT, telematics, embedded systems, or connected devices is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of system scalability, observability, reliability, and security
- Ability to balance architecture vision with hands-on execution
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in EV, automotive, mobility, or IoT domains
- Understanding of CAN protocols, vehicle diagnostics, telematics, or OTA systems
- Exposure to battery management systems (BMS) or energy platforms
- Experience with AI/ML-driven platforms, fleet analytics, or mobility data systems
- Prior startup founding or early-stage engineering leadership experience is a strong plus
