Job Description
Hiring: Social Worker – Open Shelter for Boys | Calcutta Social Project
Calcutta Social Project is looking for a dedicated Social Worker for its Open Shelter for Boys, run under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme.
About the role
You will work closely with the Project Coordinator to support the care, protection and rehabilitation of children enrolled in the Open Shelter.
Key responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining a database of enrolled children
Compile information on nearby resources and stakeholders so services reach beneficiaries and staff without delay
Establish and manage the child tracking system
Help prepare Individual Care Plans and monthly progress reports
Encourage child participation in all matters concerning their welfare and rehabilitation
Plan and organise awareness programmes in the catchment area with the Outreach Worker
Keep the Project Coordinator updated on the status of families and children
Liaise with local NGOs working in health, education, training and child protection
Provide life skills training to all enrolled children
Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisory authority
Eligibility
Master's degree (minimum)
Experience in child development and/or social welfare
Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Remuneration
18,536 per month, as per government norms
