This role turns Instagram and the wider internet into an intentional intelligence engine, not entertainment. You will build a repeatable system that captures high-value micro-trends early, filters noise, and routes actionable insights to Product, Influencer, Design, Content, and Strategy so teams can move with speed and confidence. We want someone who thrives in a 0 to 100 environment, brings daily intensity, takes ownership without waiting for permission, invests long term for mutual rewards, and helps build culture by raising the bar for clarity, taste, and momentum.
What You'll Do
- Run a daily trend research cadence across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging creator pages, capturing high-signal posts, creators, edits, sounds, and aesthetics, then logging them with context so teams can act instead of guessing.
- Hunt micro-trends 48 to 96 hours before they spike by tracking repeat patterns across formats, captions, transitions, comments, and creator clusters, then publishing early warnings with examples and suggested DROPZ angles for execution.
- Produce a weekly Shadow Report with 20 to 30 hyper-specific, ready-to-ship ideas, including creative direction, hook, format, sound references, and a clear handoff recommendation for which team should own the next steps.
- Build and maintain a structured trend taxonomy (formats, palettes, typography, meme mechanics, creator archetypes) so discovery becomes a system with retrieval and reuse, not random saves and scattered screenshots.
- Create and maintain a Vault of underused sounds, transitions, effects, and edit styles, tagged by mood and use-case, so Content and Design can move fast without copying what everyone else is already saturating.
- Reverse-engineer breakout content by mapping hook, pacing, edit rhythm, payoff, caption structure, comment triggers, and distribution signals, then translating learnings into reusable templates and checklists teams can ship against.
- Track global and Indian subcultures relevant to DROPZ, documenting what they signal about taste shifts, status cues, identity, and buying behavior, then sharing concise briefs that connect culture signals to product and storytelling.
- Route insights to the right owners with precision, sending curated bundles to Product, Influencer, Design, Content, and Strategy that include what to do next, why it matters now, and what to avoid so execution stays on-brand.
- Maintain quality control on signal vs noise by defining what counts as actionable, regularly pruning duplicates, and enforcing clean documentation so the library stays searchable, trusted, and fast across teams.
- Collaborate weekly with stakeholders to review what landed, what missed, and what needs deeper exploration, then iterating your capture rules, tagging system, and reporting format based on outcomes and team feedback.
