Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Social Science Teacher based in Ahmedabad. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons for middle school learners, aligning instruction with the institution's curriculum and academic standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, presenting concepts in history, civics, geography, and related disciplines, facilitating classroom discussions, and using diverse teaching strategies to support different learning needs. The role involves assessing student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and providing constructive feedback to support improvement. The teacher will also participate in curriculum development activities, maintain classroom discipline, collaborate with colleagues and school leadership, communicate regularly with parents or guardians, and contribute to school events and co-curricular programs.
Qualifications
- Proven teaching experience with Middle School learners and a strong foundation in Social Studies.
- Ability to design and implement effective Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning aligned with institutional standards.
- Strong Communication skills for clear instruction, effective classroom management, and collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate pedagogical practices and classroom management strategies.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching and continuous professional development.
