Position Summary
Cyboard School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Social Science Teacher to conduct engaging online classes for students in Grades 610. The teacher will be responsible for teaching History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics as per the CBSE curriculum, ensuring conceptual clarity and encouraging analytical and critical thinking in a virtual classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver interactive online lessons in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics as per CBSE/NCERT guidelines.
- Develop digital lesson plans, multimedia content, and activities that promote active student engagement and understanding.
- Foster discussions, debates, and project-based learning to enhance students interest in social, political, and environmental issues.
- Conduct online assessments, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student progress.
- Provide timely feedback and academic support to help students achieve learning objectives.
- Use digital tools, maps, and virtual simulations to make lessons more interactive and effective.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and student performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to share updates on student progress and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators to align teaching practices with Cyboard School's online learning standards.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and meetings to stay updated with best practices in online education and CBSE curriculum changes.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field.
- Certification: B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the middle or secondary school level (CBSE curriculum).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in digital teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, MS Teams, LMS, etc.).
- Ability to design and use online learning materials such as presentations, videos, and virtual activities.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in an online setup.
- Analytical mindset, patience, and a student-centered teaching approach.
