Hiring: Video Editor + Scriptwriter for Travel Content

About the Role

I'm a travel creator with 50+ hours of raw footage from a world tour. I have the concepts mapped out. I know what each piece of content should look like. I need a fast, talented editor and scriptwriter who can execute my vision at volume. 2 pieces of content per day, every day.

I've worked with content teams before. They were slow, the output was inconsistent, the scripts were generic, and I was chasing deliverables instead of creating. If that sounds like how you work, don't apply.

Every day, you deliver two pieces:

1. Short form filler. Trending format, quick cut, B-roll driven. Light, snappy, scroll stopping. Think trending audio + sharp visual + minimal or no voiceover. This keeps the feed active and the algorithm fed.

2. VO or informative piece. Scripted Hinglish voiceover or narration. Story driven, teaches something, or takes the viewer somewhere emotionally. This is the piece that builds the audience and the brand. Needs a strong hook, a clear narrative arc, and a reason to watch till the end.

Minimum 10 posts per week. Consistency is non-negotiable.

What You'll Do

• Receive raw footage and my concept or direction for each piece

• Write Hinglish scripts for VO pieces. Natural, entertaining, hook driven. Not a travel guide narration.

• Select trending sounds and music that elevate the edit

• Edit with sharp pacing. Hook in the first 1.5 seconds, tight cuts, text overlays, transitions that feel intentional.

• Deliver each piece ready to post. Formatted for platform, caption written, done.

• Adapt to changing needs. Some days it's reels, some days it's a YouTube long form, some days it's a pitch video for a business meeting. Flexibility is a must.

What I Need From You

• Speed. 2 pieces a day is the baseline. If you can't work at this pace consistently, this isn't the right fit.

• Exceptional Hinglish scriptwriting. Your scripts sound like how real people talk. The humour lands. The hooks are sharp. Nothing sounds forced or written by committee.

• Trend obsession. You know what sounds, formats, and hooks are working right now. You don't follow trends a week late. You catch them early.

• Travel content sensibility. You understand that storytelling beats pretty footage. A 45 second reel from a side street can outperform a cinematic drone shot if the narrative is right.

• Reliability. You deliver on time, every day. You flag delays before they happen, not after.

• Communication. Daily check ins. Proactive updates. Reachable during working hours.

Tools: Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, DaVinci. Whatever you use. I care about the output, not the software.

Compensation

• High Monthly retainer

• Performance bonus tied to content milestones. Views, engagement rates, follower growth. We define these together. You hit them, you earn more.
