Job Description
Kanerika is seeking an experienced Lead Social Media Strategist to lead our digital presence across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crafting high-impact social media strategies and campaigns that enhance brand visibility and engagement, preferably for a B2B brand. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker who can drive our social media initiatives, lead competitive analysis, and foster meaningful interactions with our audience. The candidate should also demonstrate a growth mindset with a passion for learning best practices and staying updated with market trends.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
- Understand the company's products and services and have a sense of the competition's offering.
- Develop and implement creative social media marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive engagement tailored for a global audience, focusing on the North American region.
- Implement strategies for various platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, to maximize reach and impact.
- Conduct competitive analysis to ensure Kanerika's social media presence stands out in the market.
SEO-optimized Content Creation and Management
- Create engaging and high-quality content, including text, images, and videos, that resonates with the target audiences and is aligned with SEO for driving more traffic and engagement.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate the brand mentions and content pace. Be intrepid in testing and experimenting.
- Manage a detailed social media content calendar through Buffer, ensuring consistent and timely publication aligned with marketing and business objectives.
- Maintain a pulse on trends and adapt content strategies accordingly.
Analytics and Reporting
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of social media campaigns and strategies.
- Analyze data and generate comprehensive reports to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing future campaigns.
Thought Leadership
- Work closely with CXOs to maintain their LinkedIn presence with thought-provoking content on the latest technology and company updates.
- Develop and manage a social media calendar for leadership and engage with the community on their behalf.
Community Engagement
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key influencers and stakeholders to amplify brand presence and foster loyalty.
Crisis Management
- Handle crisis management and reputation monitoring on social media platforms.
Coaching and Mentorship
- Coach and mentor social media interns or junior staff, contributing to building a top-tier social media function within the industry.
- Management experience is a plus, with the ability to grow the team and enhance social media initiatives.
Learning and Adaptation
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Embrace a learning attitude, constantly evaluating tools for productivity and incorporating AI for fast results.
- Bring insights from competitive analysis and market research to refine strategies continuously.
Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience in social media strategy and management, preferably in the B2B sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating engaging, viral content and executing successful social media campaigns.
Skills
- Proficient in SEO and social media tools (e.g., Canva, Buffer, Semrush, ) and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of content virality, platform-specific guidelines, and audience engagement.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools and digital advertising strategies is a plus.
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with video editing tools and productivity tools evaluation.
- Knowledge of SEO and analytics tools to optimize social media performance.
