ROLE OVERVIEW
Looking for a dynamic YouTube-first Social Media strategist who will own and scale our presence on YouTube (Shorts + Long Format). This role requires someone who deeply understands the YouTube ecosystem, algorithm, and analytics, and can translate that knowledge into effective strategies, campaigns, and content executions. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end YouTube channel management, working closely with internal teams, creators, and external partners to deliver measurable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a YouTube-first content strategy aligned with brand goals.
- Plan and execute both Shorts and long-form video content calendars.
- Identify trends, formats, and platform opportunities to maximize visibility and engagement
- Content & Campaigns
- Work with creators, production teams, and agencies to develop platform-relevant content.
- Oversee execution of branded campaigns specifically for YouTube.
- Ensure all content is optimized for discovery, retention, and conversion.
- Analytics & Optimization
- Use YouTube Studio and other analytics tools to track performance and insights.
- Continuously optimize titles, thumbnails, metadata, and publishing cadence.
- Define KPIs and deliver growth targets (subscribers, views, engagement, watch-time).
- Collaboration & Management
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for cohesive brand storytelling.
- Manage creator partnerships, ensuring timely delivery and quality output.
- Stay up-to-date with YouTube algorithm changes, features, and monetization opportunities.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven 2-4 years of experience in YouTube (brand or agency side).
- Strong knowledge of YouTube algorithms, SEO, and platform trends
- Hands-on experience with YouTube Studio and analytics dashboards
- Proven track record of scaling YouTube channels through organic + campaign-led growth
- Strong creative eye for content, storytelling, and audience engagement
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Basics knowledge of video editing and content production
- The more number of languages the candidate is comfortable with, the better, it will play a key role in building locally relevant connections
