Job Description

Job Title: Social Media Lead

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra (Onsite)

About the Role:

We're looking for a Social Media Lead who lives and breathes beauty, skincare, and trends. This role will own Kaya's social presence end-to-end across Meta and YouTube from content planning and execution to driving creative strategy and brand storytelling.

You'll be at the intersection of content, performance, and brand ensuring everything we put out is culturally relevant, scroll-stopping, and aligned with Kaya's clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage all social media handles (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) end-to-end
  • Plan and execute monthly content calendars aligned with brand, campaigns, and business goals
  • Drive creative strategy for social including formats, hooks, storytelling styles, and content buckets
  • Work closely with designers, video editors, and doctors to create engaging, insight-led content
  • Lead ideation for Reels, YouTube formats, and trend-led content (memes, hooks, transitions, etc.)
  • Stay on top of platform trends, algorithm changes, and viral formats and translate them into brand-relevant content
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all content
  • Analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, saves, watch time) and optimize content accordingly
  • Collaborate with performance marketing teams to align organic and paid strategies
  • Be hands-on with posting, community management, and basic platform hygiene

Requirements:

  • 23 years of experience in social media management, preferably in beauty, skincare, fashion, or lifestyle brands
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and YouTube ecosystems (Reels, Shorts, long-form content)
  • Deep interest in skincare, beauty trends, and consumer behavior
  • A strong eye for content what works, what doesn't, and why
  • Experience working with content creators, shoots, and production teams
  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically
  • Comfortable being hands-on as well as strategic
