Role Description The Social Media Marketing (SMM) Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The SMM Executive will manage and grow brand presence across social media platforms by planning, creating, and publishing engaging content. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing social media calendars, coordinating with design and content teams, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing campaigns based on insights. The role also involves community management, responding to audience interactions, and staying updated on platform trends and best practices. The SMM Executive will collaborate closely with the broader marketing team to align social media activities with overall digital marketing and brand objectives.

Role purpose

Owns organic social presence across all platforms - planning, publishing, community and growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and run the monthly organic content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube and any other active channel.
  • Publish consistently and at the right times; manage scheduling tools.
  • Manage community: comments, DMs, mentions, engagement pods and conversations.
  • Coordinate with content writers, designers and the video editor to get assets on time.
  • Track and report platform analytics; identify what formats work and double down.
  • Manage the founders organic LinkedIn presence in coordination with the Brand Manager.
  • Stay on top of platform changes, formats and trends and adapt quickly.

Must-have skills

  • Demonstrable organic growth achieved on at least one account - their own or a client's.
  • Native fluency in how LinkedIn and Instagram actually work in 2026, including algorithm behaviour.
  • Scheduling and analytics tools (Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Metricool or native).
  • Basic Canva design ability for quick assets.
  • Copy sense - can write a caption without waiting for the writer.
  • Consistency and calendar discipline.

Good-to-have skills

  • Video editing basics for reels and shorts.
  • Community management for B2B audiences.
  • Experience running a LinkedIn page for a company, not just a personal profile.
  • Understanding of paid amplification.

Eligibility criteria

  • Any graduate or self-taught; no institution or degree preference.
  • Must share account handles and analytics screenshots of work they have actually driven.
  • Assessed on a live content plan exercise.
