Role Description:

This is a full-time, remote role for a Social Media Marketing Manager at Ekalavya Hansaj, Inc. The Social Media Marketing Manager will plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns across multiple platforms to amplify investigative content, thought leadership, and strategic narratives. Responsibilities include developing and implementing social media content calendars, aligning messaging with broader content and visibility strategies, and ensuring consistent brand voice and tone. The role involves creating, curating, and scheduling posts; monitoring engagement; responding to community interactions in a professional and informed manner; and collaborating with editorial and strategy teams to highlight key investigations and insights. The Social Media Marketing Manager will also track performance metrics, run experiments, report on analytics, and continuously refine social media tactics to grow reach, influence, and audience trust.

Qualifications

  • Strong Social Media Marketing skills, including campaign planning, platform-specific best practices, and audience engagement.
  • Experience in Content Strategy and Social Media Optimization (SMO), with the ability to align content calendars to broader visibility and editorial goals.
  • Background in Digital Marketing, including familiarity with analytics tools, performance tracking, and experimentation for growth.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investigations and insights into clear, compelling social media narratives.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience collaborating with editorial, design, or research teams; familiarity with investigative journalism, media, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • Comfort using social media management and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, native platform tools).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
