Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of content creation and growth marketing. As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will play an active role in shaping our brand voice and online identity. You won't just be posting content-you'll be experimenting with ideas, understanding what resonates with audiences, and continuously iterating to improve reach and engagement.

A major part of your work will involve creating short-form video content (Reels, Shorts) and helping us build a consistent and engaging narrative around our journey, products, and learnings. You will also work closely with the founders, gaining direct exposure to how early-stage startups think about growth and distribution.

Key Responsibilities :

• Content Creation Script, shoot, and edit short-form videos (Reels, YouTube Shorts); design simple visual creatives using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, FCP; and maintain a consistent weekly content calendar
• Growth & Marketing Experiment with hooks, trends, and formats to drive reach and follower growth; optimize content using platform algorithms; and support product launches, announcements, and campaign storytelling
• Performance Analysis Track key metrics including views, engagement, and retention; derive actionable insights and iterate on content strategy accordingly
• Community Engagement Manage comments and DMs, build early audience relationships, and collaborate with founders to refine and maintain a consistent brand voice

What We're Looking For :

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
• Demonstrable ability to create engaging short-form video content - a portfolio or active account is a strong plus
• Proficiency in Canva and basic video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, FCP, or similar)
• Strong awareness of platform trends, internet culture, and viral content formats across Instagram and YouTube
• Ability to take ownership of a content calendar and work independently with minimal hand-holding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong sense of tone and brand voice
• Prior experience creating Reels or Shorts with measurable engagement is preferred; sharing a portfolio or active account handle during the application is a strong plus
• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Instagram Insights, YouTube Studio, or Google Analytics is a bonus

Compensation:

We offer competitive stipends for intern roles. Compensation is determined based on role, level, and demonstrated experience. Individual pay within the range is influenced by factors such as relevant skills, portfolio quality, and prior internship experience.
