Role Summary
We're now looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Marketing Intern to join us for an 8 to 9 months internship to help scale our presence across digital platforms. The ideal Intern is someone with a strong grasp of design aesthetics, social media storytelling, and content execution; and best suited for someone enthusiastic, imaginative, and hands-on.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Content
- Collaborate on monthly content calendars for Instagram based on product drops, campaigns, festivals, and themes
- Create regular and frequent Instagram content including posts, carousels, stories, reels, and behind-the-scenes clips
- Draft compelling captions and hashtags that reflect Birdy's tone playful yet elegant, refined, and design-forward
- Support in community management (replying to comments, DMs, and engaging with like-minded pages)
- Develop ad-ready contentreels, creatives, and copybuilt for testing, scaling, and conversions on Meta.
- Repurpose Instagram content for Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube and LinkedIn with platform-specific adaptations
Blog Writing & Website Content
- Research and write 23 blogs per month on topics like styling tips, decor ideas, design trends, gifting guides, etc.
- Coordinate with the Founder on SEO keywords and content briefs
- Occasionally edit or update web content (product stories, collection writeups)
Design & Editing Support
- Assist with basic graphic design and layout for Instagram templates, Pinterest posts, email headers, etc.
- Edit promotional creatives for sales, new launches, exhibitions, etc.
- Work with existing brand assets (colors, fonts, illustrations) to maintain brand consistency
Creative Collaboration
- Participate in weekly check-ins with the Founder for content reviews and brainstorming
- Bring fresh ideas for visual storytelling, collaborations, and seasonal campaigns
- Stay on top of Instagram trends and apply them in a way that suits our brand aesthetic
Who This Role is Perfect For:
- Strong interest in home decor, lifestyle, or design content
- Excellent command of English writing and grammar
- Familiarity with Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or Adobe Express)
- Good sense of aesthetics, layout, and storytelling
- Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment
- Comfortable on camera and willing to participate in shoots, reels, and content creation if and when required.
- Bonus: Experience with Shopify blogs, Notion, Google Drive, or Meta Business Suite
- Curiosity or familiarity with the latest AI tools for content creation, editing, or ideation is an added advantage.
Work Arrangement & Compensation:
- Type: Full Time(8-9 month contract, renewable)
- Time Commitment: 40 hours per week (flexible schedule to a reasonable extent)
- Compensation: Industry based competitive Stipend ( depending on skill, output, and experience)
