Manage Mufti social channels, improve content quality and velocity, and coordinate with internal teams, agencies, creators and vendors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Mufti is looking for a Social Media Executive who understands fashion, culture, content and the fast-moving social landscape. This role will manage Mufti's social media presence across key platforms, drive content quality and velocity, and work closely with internal teams, external agencies, creators and production partners.

This is not a post-and-forget role. We are looking for someone who can help shape how Mufti shows up every day: premium but not stiff, expressive but not loud, fashionable but not inaccessible, youthful but not mindlessly young.

The ideal candidate should have a sharp eye for style, a strong understanding of Instagram-first content, comfort with Reels and short-form video, and the ability to turn product, campaigns, store moments, cultural conversations and brand stories into social-first content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Social Channel Ownership

·   Own day-to-day management of Mufti's social channels including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and other relevant platforms.

·   Plan, schedule and publish Reels, stories, posts, carousels, shorts and campaign assets.

·   Maintain a clean, premium and consistent presence across platforms.

·   Ensure all posts follow brand tonality, visual guidelines, campaign priorities and platform best practices.

·   Work closely with the ORM team to ensure brand tonality is upheld in all outbound communication

2. Content Planning and Calendar

·   Build and maintain the monthly social media calendar with brand, design, merchandising, retail, e-commerce and agency teams.

·   Translate business priorities into content themes: new collections, product drops, store launches, sale periods, across collections and brand campaigns.

·   Create always-on content opportunities beyond campaign assets: styling tips, fit checks, product details, store moments etc.

3. Trend and Culture Tracking

·   Stay plugged into fashion, menswear, Indian social media trends, creator formats, memes, Reels, music, pop culture and platform shifts.

·   Spot relevant trends early and translate them into Mufti's world.

·   Bring weekly references, ideas and content opportunities to the team.

·   Understand the difference between chasing a trend and giving it a Mufti twist.

4. Paid Social Support

·   Identify which organic posts are worth boosting and why.

·   Understand the basics of Meta ads, post boosting, audience targeting, creative performance and campaign reporting.

·   Track boosted content performance and share learnings with the team.

5. Reporting and Insights

·   Create weekly and monthly social media performance reports.

·   Track reach, engagement, views, saves, shares, watch time, follower growth, traffic and content performance.

·   Convert numbers into creative learnings: what worked, what did not, what should be repeated and what should be stopped.

·   Maintain a reference bank of top-performing Mufti content, competitor content and relevant fashion or social examples.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

·   3 to 4 years of experience in social media, preferably with a fashion, lifestyle, retail, D2C, agency or creator-led brand.

·   Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and emerging social formats.

·   A genuine interest in fashion, menswear, styling, culture and visual storytelling.

·   Good eye for design, photography, video, typography, thumbnails and social-first layouts.

·   Ability to write clean captions, hooks, story copy and short-form content notes.

·   Comfort working with agencies, creators, designers, editors and internal teams.

·   Basic understanding of Meta paid amplification and social media analytics.

·   Ability to move fast without becoming careless.

·   Strong ownership, organisation and follow-through.

·   A point of view. Not just looks good, but why it works or does not work.

GOOD TO HAVE

·   Experience with fashion shoots, styling content or retail content.

·   Familiarity with Editing softwares like Canva, Premiere Pro, Illustrator or Figma for basic layouts, references and presentation of ideas.

·   Awareness of Indian menswear brands, streetwear, premium casualwear and fashion retail.

·   Comfort with Mumbai culture, visual references, city stories and lifestyle content.
