Traya is a direct-to-consumer hair care brand platform provides a holistic treatment for consumers dealing with hair loss. The Company provides personalized consultations that help determine the root cause of hair fall among individuals, along with a range of hair care products that are curated from a combination of Ayurveda, Allopathy, and Nutrition. Traya's secret lies in the power of diagnosis. Our unique platform diagnoses the patient's hair & health history, to identify the root cause behind hair fall and delivers customized hair kits to them right at their doorstep. We have a strong adherence system in place via medically-trained hair coaches and proprietary tech, where we guide the customer across their hair growth journey, and help them stay on track. Traya is founded by Saloni Anand, a techie-turned-marketeer and Altaf Saiyed, a Stanford Business School alumnus.

About the Role:

We're looking for a creative, internet-native Social Media Manager to own and grow our brand presence across social platforms. This role is social-media heavy (70%), with PR and brand reputation as a strategic extension.

You will shape how the brand shows up online every day through content, conversations, culture, and community while also supporting PR narratives, founder visibility, and media

Interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Management

  • Own the brand's presence across Instagram, YouTube Shorts/Reels, and emerging platforms
  • Plan and execute the monthly and quarterly social content calendar
  • Lead short-form video strategy (reels, trends, storytelling, POVs, UGC-style content)
  • Write and oversee on-brand, high-engagement captions and copy
  • Track trends, memes, pop culture moments, and identify relevant brand hooks
  • Manage and grow the online community (comments, DMs, brand interactions)
  • Collaborate with design, video, performance, and influencer teams to deliver consistent output
  • Monitor social metrics (reach, engagement, growth, saves, shares) and optimise content

2. Brand Voice & Consistency

  • Be the custodian of brand tone and personality across all social content
  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand values, positioning, and visual identity
  • Partner with internal teams to translate business priorities into content narratives

What We're Looking For:

  • 58 years of experience in social media content (D2C/startup experience preferred)
  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram-first content and short-form video formats
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a sharp sense of internet culture
  • Hands-on experience managing brand social handles
  • Comfortable balancing creativity with performance metrics
  • Experience working with designers, creators, influencers, and agencies
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with consumer brands, D2C, or content-led pages
  • Exposure to campaign-based content or product launches
  • Understanding of brand aesthetics and storytelling
